Which Disney Ship is the Best?

Disney cruises are a dream come true for families – they are idyllic resorts on the sea, with Broadway-quality entertainment, character meet-and-greets and more. But which ship is the best? We looked at online reviews to rank the top ships in the best disney ship Line fleet.

Which part of the ship is best on Disney cruise?

Disney Fantasy

The largest ship in the fleet, the Disney Fantasy can host up to 4,000 guests and 1,455 crew members. It’s also the only ship with Pixar Day at Sea (a limited-time experience) and has the first Frozen-themed restaurant at sea – Royal Palace Cafe. There’s plenty of kids-friendly activities as well, with the Hero Zone recreation space inspired by the movie “The Incredibles” and a dedicated onboard nursery.

Some negatives to note include a tendency to overbook, so it’s a good idea to book early if you have a specific date in mind. Also, some rooms are said to feel small and lack storage space.

Disney Magic

The smallest ship in the Disney fleet, the Disney Magic is like a twin sister to Disney Wonder but not identical. It has the same passenger capacity as her sibling, but a smaller gross tonnage of 83,969 – 161 gross tons less than Disney Wish.

Despite its age, the Disney Magic still looks immaculate and has high standards for service and food. It sails a number of three- and four-night springtime voyages from San Diego to Baja California with calls at Ensenada and five- to nine-night Alaska sailings from Vancouver in the summer and fall. It’s also the only ship in the fleet to feature the enchanting Frozen, A Musical Spectacular and the Royal Palace Cafe, where you can dine with Princess Anna and Queen Elsa.
